New water blaster (pressure washer) that can be used as a portable wash station released

Mine sites looking to cut service costs and increase efficiency are choosing portable, self-contained cleaning stations that can be easily relocated anywhere on-site. Australian Pump Industries have released a robust, cube framed high pressure water blaster that is refilled from a water cart.

A unique feature of the water blaster unit is the over-engineered, heavy duty galvanised steel frame.  The frame cradles the UV resistant 1,000 litre poly water tank and protects the blaster from knocks in the field. The design is engineer lift certified and incorporates CAT loader fork tynes. The frame is braced so the water blaster unit can be craned or double stacked when not in use. The cube is self-contained and can be easily relocated on site to set-up as instant wash station.

“We’ve taken our popular Bertolini/Yanmar pump motor group and up spec’d the kit into a unique, heavy duty cube that’s designed for extreme conditions,” said Aussie Pumps product manager Hamish Lorenz. “We’ve also added safety features that are standard on Aussie mine spec machines, to make them ‘mine ready’,” said Lorenz

The power for the water blasters is provided by a fuel efficient, compact, low vibration, L-N series Yanmar 10HP electric start engine. The Yanmar engine warranty is two years and is backed by a first class after-market support from a national service network. The electric start unit includes mine spec safety features including an emergency E Stop, a bunded tray and lockable battery isolator.

The heart of each unit is a “Big Berty” Bertolini triplex piston pump that develops up to 4,000 psi and flows to 13 litres per minute. The top quality Italian pump is backed by a three year manufacturer’s warranty.

The pump is protected by a unique ASP (Aussie Safety Protection) kit. The kit consists of an unloader to control by-pass and a safety valve that protects both the machine and operator from pressure spikes. The engine includes a low water cut out to protect the pump from running dry.

The Aussie blaster cube also incorporates two stainless steel hose reels. One stores 30 metres of top quality ¾” low pressure supply hose to fill the tank. The other reel is fitted with 30 metres of double wire braid high pressure hose that enables the operator move freely around large plant to facilitate fast cleaning.

Aussie Pumps believe that the mine spec cubes are ideal for hire companies looking to supply self-contained cleaning equipment into mines. “These units are one-stop portable cleaning stations suitable for the rigours of difficult site conditions,” said Lorenz. “We build them in production runs to keep costs down and we’ve passed on this saving to our clients,” he said.

Aussie had previously introduced a new Hydrotek 5000psi steam cleaner for cleaning mining equipments.
