Third largest gold mining company in the world increases its production by 6%

Chief Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited, the third largest gold mining company, has increased its production by 6% in the first quarter of the 2015 financial year, which is in-line with its annual production guidance.

Executive Officer of the company, Graham Briggs, made the confirmation and said that the company is intensifying its margins by increasing its gold production. They have continued to increase their underground grade with a 4% rise quarter after quarter.

Harmony Gold Mining Company is a gold exploration and development company with operations in South Africa. In addition to being the third largest gold mining company in the world, it is the third largest gold producer in South Africa. Last year, the gold mining firm reported production of 1.13 million ounces of gold and Mineral Reserves of 51.5 million ounces.

Harmony operates mines in South African and Papua New Guinea. In South Africa, the company has underground mines and one open-pit mine and several surface operations in South Africa.
