The Department of Mineral Resources (DMR) plans to spend R4.1 billion, or 81.4% of its total budget on enforcing compliance with legislation and promoting sustainable resource use management over the current medium-term expenditure framework (MTEF).
After immense strategy planning and amending of existing legislation, the mining sector now has to familiarise themselves and comply with amendments to the MPRDA, Mine Health and Safety Act, as well as rolled out “One Environmental System” for environmental authorisations and waste management licenses in terms of the National Environmental Management Act and the National Environmental Management: Waste Act.
In light of the above, Intelligence Transfer Centre has partnered with the Department Of Mineral Resources (DMR) and is proud to host the 6th Annual Mineral Resource Compliance & Reporting conference. It is aimed at addressing relevant legislation and equipping you with key compliance solutions to avoid any penalties due to non-compliance. Industry experts as well as high level speakers from the mining sector will come forward with practical case studies to assist you your compliance and reporting efforts.
The 6th Annual Mineral Resource Compliance & Reporting conference will take place on 20-21 August, 2015 at Gallagher Estate, Midrand.
