African Oil & Power Conference promises ‘unconventional’ approach

One can almost predict the programme of conferences which have become the ‘in-thing’ and a money making machine for companies organising them while in a deep sleep. Nonetheless, organisers of the African Oil & Power Conference claim they will do things differently by assembling a high profile panel of African oil and gas ministers. It will take place on 6-7 June 2016 at the Westin Hotel in Cape Town.

According to the organisers, key decision makers from select countries will work in unscripted setting. Much of the content will revolve around steps the industry is doing or should follow to adjusted to a sustained climate of low oil prices and keep projects on track.

Endorsed by the Ministry of Mines, Industry and Energy of Equitorial Guinea the event will be hosted by Centurion Law firm. Thus far, the confirmed list of speakers H.E Gabriel Mbaga Obiang Lima, Minister of Mines, Industry and Energy of Equatorial Guinea; H.E. Etienne Dieudonné Ngoubou, Minister of Petroleum and Hydrocarbons of Gabon; Alex Mould, CEO of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation; and Nick Cooper, CEO of Ophir.
