Bringing the Captains of Construction together

Taking place at the Gallagher Convention Centre on Tuesday, 10 May 2016, Captains of Construction, creates a platform for unfiltered dialogue for public and private sector industry stakeholders to explore Infrastructure Development Issues in Africa. Says, David Humphrey, Global Sector Head: Power and Infrastructure, Standard Bank, “Africa eventually will really grow faster once it trades with itself more efficiently. Captains of Construction provides a great opportunity for conversations about Africa’s trading habits to be evaluated.” Standard Bank, alongside The Development Bank of Southern Africa and the Industrial Development Corporation are the proud sponsors of the 2016 Captains of Construction forum.

The exclusive event kicks off with a networking breakfast for VIP guests, government ministers and key African business leaders. The Keynote address, penned and presented by, Moe Shaik, the Group Executive International Financing of DBSA, will set the tone for the informative two-part panel discussions scheduled for the rest of the event. Shaik is one of thirteen industry leaders who will form part of the 2016 Captains of Construction panel discussion.

The second, Captains of Construction Publication – 2016 Edition, showcases Southern Africa’s most influential figures, such as Minsiter in the Presidency, Jeff Radebe, Sinazo Sibisi, Group Executive Infrastructure Delivery from the DBSA, Lizeka Matshekga, Head of Industrial Infrastructure SBU and the IDC, David Humphrey, Global Sector Head Power and Infrastructure from Standard Bank,Poya Rasecki, Leader of ARUP Southern Africa and many more leaders that are driving infrastructure development and construction in the country and region. The publication also draws upon data supplied by governments and associations, and will feature expert opinions and full interviews with Captains in the infrastructure sector.
