Leading mining-software solutions provider MICROMINE will preview its latest major product releases, Geobank 2018 and Micromine 2018, at Mining Indaba 2018, to be held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from 5 to 8 February.
MICROMINE is the leading provider of innovative software solutions spanning the entire mining cycle from geological exploration and data management to resource estimation, 3D mine design, planning and production control.
MICROMINE will showcase its entire suite of software solutions at the event, including secure and flexible data-management solution Geobank, 3D modelling and mine design solution Micromine, and market-leading fleet management and mine-control system Pitram.
“We give our customers an in-depth understanding of their projects so as to ensure that prospective exploration regions can be targeted more accurately,” MICROMINE South Africa regional manager, Renier Strydom, explains.
Both Geobank 2018 and Micromine 2018 have been developed on the back of extensive client consultation. “We place a substantial emphasis on, and invest a large amount of financial resources in, research and development of our software solutions. We are deeply committed to provide regular product releases that build upon the strengths of previous versions,” Strydom comments.
The latest iterations of both Geobank and Micromine will be launched officially in March, with new features aimed at improving functionality and usability. Product specialists will be on-hand at the MICROMINE stand at Mining Indaba 2018 to provide delegates with more detailed information about the latest software solutions.
Billed as the largest event of its kind for the mining industry in Africa, MICROMINE will use Mining Indaba 2018 as a platform to not only catch up with existing clients and their current project portfolios, but to establish new relationships with potential clients, and to introduce them to the myriad benefits of its software solutions.
The MICROMINE team present at Mining Indaba 2018 will focus on explaining to delegates how its software solutions can assist mining operations in meeting their business objectives in an increasingly cost-competitive commodities’ environment.
“Our technical specialists ensure demonstrations are used to teach skills that are accessible to all types of users and experience levels. We find that the takeaway for our potential clients from these demonstrations is an intuitive understanding of both the functionality, and benefits of, our software solutions,” Strydom highlights.
In addition to Strydom, the MICROMINE team present at Mining Indaba 2018 will comprise Senior Business Development Manager (Micromine/Geobank) Andrew Osmond, Senior Business Development Manager (Pitram) Lee Bothma, Business Development Manager (Micromine/Geobank) Monray Schoeman, Senior Data Management Specialist (Geobank) Danie Oosthuizen, Training and Support Consultant (Micromine) Kayleigh Cooper, and Global Marketing Manager Kate Gilbey, from Australia.
“MICROMINE Brand Ambassador Mr MICROMINE will be flying into Cape Town, too, and he will bring an element of fun to the team dynamic and the booth environment of our stand,” Strydom adds. Live interactive software demonstrations of both Geobank 2018 and Micromine 2018 will take centre stage throughout the event.
“Being able to showcase our solutions at such a premier event, including new product previews and hands-on technical demonstrations, is an essential part of our strategy to grow our presence in the African mining industry,” Strydom concludes.
