Nampala mine in Mali set to pour first bar of gold this year

Nampala mine in Southern Mali is set to produce the first bar of gold by the end of this year.

Canada’s Robex Resources country manager, Abdel Kader Maïga, confirmed the reports and pointed out that construction of the Nampala mine has been completed, and is currently in the trial phase, but production of gold will commence at the end of this year.

He also said that the mine is located around 300km south of Bamako, which is the capital city of Mali.

Robex is a junior Canadian mining exploration & development company with nine permits located in Mali, western Africa. Mali is currently Africa’s third most important gold producing country after South Africa and Ghana.

Nine companies, including Randgold Resources, Anglogold Ashanti and Resolute Mining have operations in the country that has estimated reserves of about 609 t.
